ever know <> don’t need to know (or ever know is not equal to don’t need to know)
ever know = other people stigma generating (not so easy to correct – other people involved)
don’t need to know = self deciding (easier to do)
The path of least resistance comes to mind.
However, my equation for luck comes in to play here. (Do right – Do wrong) + do Different = Luck
I believe the right thing is to reduce the stigma generation ability of community. Not the easiest path, however, we have more friends in our community later in life. i.e. not all of us become old.
Us = Lived Experience community.
I like permanent solutions to problems using teaching and dialogue.

Perhaps acceptance that we may not ever know, or that maybe we don’t need to know, is the answer?
